RULES OF THE LIBRARY RESEARCH AWARD

What is the Award?

The CCSF Library Research Award recognizes excellence in student research and information competency skills and the process of inquiry in using the library, its resources, and collections.

How many students will win?  What is the prize?

One winner will be selected to receive a $200.00 cash award.

Who is eligible to enter?

To be eligible, you must--

  • Be registered as a CCSF student for a minimum of 6 credit hours in the current semester.

  • Submit a research paper/project that was completed during Summer 2013, Fall 2013, or Spring 2014 semester for a CCSF credit course.

  • A student can only enter one paper or project per award cycle.  (In other words, the same student can't enter two different research papers).

What is the deadline?  When will you announce the winner?

All emailed/physically mailed entries MUST be received by 11.59 pm on Friday, May 2nd.

We will announce the winner on Monday, May 19th, 2014.

  • Research Award Cover Sheet

  • 200-300 word essay describing your research process (how you used library or other information resources)

  • A research paper or project between 7-15 pages long.  The Works Cited pages do NOT count toward the 7-15 page total.

Students should email these three documents in Microsoft Word or PDF format to:
